Pre-Challenge
Back in February 2025, we were approached by the team over at Comic Relief to provide a Roller Rink for a Wheely Big Challenge Morning Live were going to do to raise money for Comic Relief! Boy what a challenge it was, in more ways than one!
Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton from Morning Live were going to Roller Skate non-stop for a whopping 24 hours!
That is where we came in. We were not just providing any old Roller Rink. No, we were providing a completely branded PURPLE Roller Rink! We covered the WHOLE rink in purple including the floor and branded the floor and barriers with their logos!
During The Challenge
Hours and hours of work went into the making of this, not just the building of the rink but the branding and wrapping of each individual barrier, scaling and printing the HUGE logo that went on the floor, but it was all worth it in the end! You can see how we did it on the video below:
During the challenge, you could watch them skate for the whole 24 hours via the BBC iPlayer and from the moment they started, Gethin was heard saying repeatedly how amazing the rink was!
We could not be prouder to have worked on this project with Comic Relief and Morning Live and therefore help Helen and Gethin to raise over £1Million for such a great cause!
Post Challenge
After the challenge, we were sent a lovely ‘Thank You’ card from the Comic Relief Team – ‘We just wanted to drop you a note to thank you again for all your work and support with the Morning Live Challenge for Comic Relief this year. It was great working with you all and we were so glad to have you on board. We hope you enjoyed being part of it all!
